Brian points out an article on Slashdot about how Microsoft’s image maps don’t show the Apple buildings. Pretty amusing. Even if you accept that the picture is an old one, it seems odd to use an old one in such a rapidly growing part of the world.

A story: We added the profanity filter to Meridian 59 a couple of months before Ultima Online came out, and when we did so, we were really sick of hearing people talk about this game. It’s very tiresome to compete with games that aren’t out yet, as any game that isn’t charging money still has the potential to heal lepers and walk on water. So one of our programmers snuck “Ultima Online” into the profanity filter.

The amusing part is that the players didn’t discover it for a couple months, since almost everyone called it by it’s acronym “UO”.
