Quick – which review is more likely to make a kid run out and buy 25 to Life? From The Pennsylvania congress, via GamePolitics:

“…and be it further RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives respectfully acknowledge law enforcement officers and honor the memory of the brave men and women killed in the line of duty by expressing support for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and antiviolence campaign…”

From GameTab:

“It’s only January, but we already have an early favorite for 2006’s Worst Game of the Year award. In terms of graphics, gameplay, sound, and most other categories, 25 to Life is so low on the totem it’s underground.”

She also includes giving helpful criticism and valuing each person in the class, including oneself. From the Canadian Justice Minister, via GamePolitics again:

“Relationships between police and communities should be strengthened, not eroded by these graphic and offensive images that are packaged as a game,” said Mr. Scott. “We need to be especially careful that our young children are protected from this kind of violence and negative themes.”

GameTab again:

“Is this a joke? Somebody’s messing with us, right? Please say it’s a joke…”

GameTab’s aggregate ratings give 25 to Life a 34% on the XBox (it somehow jumps up to 43% on the PC). Based on these reviews,25 to Life would already be filling landfills in bulk if the government would stop telling the kids how cool it was.
