Overall, I’m quite frenetic lately. Work has amped up at Wolfpack for a presentation we have to give in a month. We’re now at the ‘okay, what’s our design REALLY?” phase that follows blue sky thinking. In other words, it’s dream-crushing time!

In other news: I’m doing more game design stuff outside of work.

  • Next week, I’ll be moderating a panel on the Hot Coffee Incident at the local Austin Game Developers meeting. I will be mostly asking questions instead of ranting, and I’m pretty sure I know what I’m asking, but if you can think of a really devious question for me to toss at these guys, post it here.
  • I’ve recently accepted a post helping to guide the local community college’s design curriculum. I did this only after being reassured by the last guy to hold the gig that it was, you know, doable by someone with a real full-time job. So I’ll be crushing the dreams of the impressionable youth as well!
  • I’m in talks with the IGDA to host/manage a GDC Group Gathering for bloggers next year. I’m not entirely sure what this means, since I’ve never been to a GDC Group Gathering. This should be interesting.
